Check your Ring/Silent switch and volume — Soothr respects your device's media volume, not the ringer volume. Also confirm another app (like a call or voice memo) hasn't taken over the audio session.
Soothr is built to keep playing when locked or backgrounded. If it stops, check that Low Power Mode isn't aggressively suspending background audio, and that you didn't force-quit the app from the app switcher (which stops all background audio, by design, on iOS).
Press and hold the power button for about half a second until the radial menu appears, then lift your finger over the duration you want. Tapping too quickly will just toggle playback instead.
The countdown only appears while a sleep timer is active and Soothr is playing. If you cancel the timer (tap the countdown) or the timer finishes, the label clears — that's expected.
Soothr includes two built-in Siri phrases and works with the Shortcuts app:
Once Soothr is playing, it appears in your Now Playing controls on the Lock Screen automatically — no setup required. You can also add the Soothr widget to your Lock Screen or Home Screen by touching and holding the screen, tapping "Customize" or "Edit," and choosing Soothr from the widget gallery.
Soothr is a one-time purchase billed and processed entirely by Apple. For a refund, use Apple's Report a Problem page, or go to Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Purchase History on your device.
